BagpipeStar reviewed on Pipes|Drums.
26 June, 2012.
The world's number one piping and drumming website, Pipes|Drums featured BagpipeStar as the lead article in June/July. The site invited
Kyle Coughlan, a grade one piper from the Toronto Police Pipe Band
to write a review. Kyle had a great time trying it out, with the Long Way To The Top/ Up N Adam track his favourite. He wrote: "I really did feel like a "Bagpipe Star" rocking out to this tune in my basement".
BagpipeStar adds A=440Hz tuning.
20 January, 2012.
Due to many requests from owners of smallpipes, BagpipeStar is now pleased to add orchestral A (the A4 key on the piano keyboard) to the list of available tunings. Great for smallpipes, practice chanters, fiddles, accordians, and other instruments that play in the key of A.
Great first month of trading!
1 January, 2012.
BagpipeStar had a great launch month in December 2011,
with strong sales in the USA and Australia, plus steady orders
from Canada and New Zealand. We’ve been delighted to also
get many orders from French pipers and a few from Germany
and Italy, too. Thank you to all our customers for making our
hard work worthwhile. Happy New Year!
BagpipeStar is now on Facebook.

BagpipeStar makes its public debut.
27 November, 2011.
West Australian pipers got to try BagpipeStar at the recent WA Police Pipe Band Scottish Day Out. A bagpipe karaoke stand was set up and pipers tested their musical skills playing along to the backing tracks.
It was quite a hit with bandsmen and soloists alike.

About BagpipeStar.
BagpipeStar is produced by husband and wife, Malcolm and Lisa MacLean.
Malcolm is Pipe Major of Perth Highland Pipe Band in Western Australia. He has won solo medals in Australia, plus competed in national and international band competitions in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
Malcolm is an advertising creative working in one of Australia’s leading agencies and Lisa works for a travel software company.
To amuse himself, Malcolm began creating backing tracks for pipe tunes on his Aple Mac in 2010. At the end of that year, he organised a piping karaoke session at his band’s Christmas party. Everyone had so much fun with it, someone asked “why don’t you sell this?”.
In February 2011, Malcolm and Lisa decided to seriously produce the BagpipeStar DVD for sale as a fundraising venture to travel to the Clan Maclean Gathering in Scotland in mid 2012.
